May 25, 2008, 4th Sunday S.E.E.

Parents,

Our Family Daily Devos are tools to help supply you with daily spiritual reinforcements for our Sunday lesson.  They come in 3 Sections: 1) Learn It    2) Live It    3) Know It.  It is our sincere desire that you spend valuable time imparting spiritual truths into the lives of your children (Proverbs 22:6).

ON THE TRAIL: The Exodus of Israel

Lesson Goal:
The children will understand that when problems arise we should focus on God rather than our problems because He is trustworthy, powerful and He loves us.

Main Point:
When I Have A Problem, I Will Focus On God.

Bible Story:
Exodus 13:17 – 14:31 (The Parting of the Red Sea)

Memory Verse:
“I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all of my fears.” (Psalms 34:4, NLT)

Learn It!
Read the passages and discuss them with your family

Monday-   Exodus 13:17-22 (God chooses to lead Israel through the wilderness)

Tuesday-  Exodus 14:1-9 (Pharaoh chases Moses and the children of Israel)

Thursday-  Exodus 14:15-23 (Moses parts the Red Sea)

Friday-   Hebrews 14:24-31 ( The red sea closes in on Pharaoh and his army)

Live It!
