Our Family Daily Devos are tools to help supply you with daily spiritual reinforcements for our Sunday lesson. They come in 3 Sections: 1) Learn It 2) Live It 3) Know It. It is our sincere desire that you spend valuable time imparting spiritual truths into the lives of your children (Proverbs 22:6).

ON THE TRAIL: The Exodus of Israel
Lesson Goal: Children will learn that the way we show love to God is by being obedient to Him and to other figures of authority. Therefore, we should be obedient every day.
Main Point: Because I love God, I will obey!
Bible Story: Exodus chapters 5 - 11 (the 10 plagues)
Memory Verse:
“If you love me, obey my commandments.” (John 14:15, NLT)
Learn It!
Read the passages and discuss them with your family.
Monday- Exodus 5 & 6 (Moses calling)
Tuesday- Exodus 7 (1st Plague- waters become blood)
Wednesday- Exodus 8 (2nd–4th Plagues: frogs, lice, flies)
Thursday- Exodus 9 (5th–7th Plagues: livestock, boils, hail)
Friday- Exodus 10 (8th & 9th Plagues: locusts and darkness)
Saturday- Exodus 11 & 12 (10th Plague: death of firstborn)
Live It!
Do these activities throughout the week to reinforce the miracles of the plagues.
Monday- As a family call relatives far away. After talk about God calling Moses.
Tuesday- Play with water in the sink & talk about how God turned the Nile river into blood.
Wednesday- What would you think if frogs and flies covered your front yard?
Thursday- Visit a farm or look at books about livestock and discuss why God chose this plague.
Friday- Go into a closet and turn off the lights. Talk about how life would be without light.
Saturday- Go see a new baby, let the kids hold it, talk about God, who gives life.
Know It!
Memory Verse:

Say your memory verse each day (parents sign in box) and if you complete all 5 nights, print out the devotional below, cut on the dotted line and bring the sign off sheet back to church for a special prize from the “Treasure Box”.
