Have you ever wondered how a string of paperclips can dangle from one magnet?

When exposed to a magnet, objects such as paperclips become magnetized. In other words, objects that have the capacity to be magnetized find magnets irresistible.

Yet, this only happens if the magnet is strong. The strength of a magnet is determined by how strongly it magnetizes other objects. Simply put, a strong magnet makes everything that comes in direct contact with it irresistible too. As Christ followers, we know Christ is the Source Magnet. He is IRRESISTIBLE. He draws us to Himself and magnetizes us so we can in turn attract others to Him.

When we aren’t attached to our Source we choose to live mediocre lives defined by the status quo. Distanced from our Source, we find ourselves not only distracted but attracted to the wrong things. In order for us to break from the powerful magnetic pull of our culture, we must reattach ourselves to Christ.

In this series, we’ll discuss what it means to lead a life that others are drawn to, raise a family that people want to model, and be in a church that is vital to its community. Don’t you want to be irresistible?
