Sermon Question: What do you do when you are doing what you are supposed to do but those who aren't are reaping rewards?

by adminguy    |   Sunday, February 01, 2009 at 7:05:00 PM

We are never really doing all that we are supposed to do. There is always something that we can work on. There could be many reasons why those who are not doing what they are supposed to do are reaping the rewards while you are not. This is not a simple answer. Our suggestion is that instead of looking at the fact that others are not doing what they are supposed to do, just focus on what you need to do. Please don't take offense because it is not intended in an insulting or demeaning way. At this point there is not a whole lot you can do but just wait upon God. Also, it may be helpful to remember what was said in the sermon in that just because you see good things happening to someone, do not assume that they are necessarily good. Everything that glitters ain't gold.

Sermon Question: What are questions I can ask myself as I funeralize the ending of something?

by oneadmin    |   Monday, January 12, 2009 at 12:00:00 AM

This is a very good question. Here are some questions to consider:

1. Are there any relationships I need to leave in the past?
2. Are there any relationships I need to maintain or develop?
3. Why am I in this transition?
4. Is there a mistake I need to own up to?
5. Is there anyone I need to apologize to?
6. Does God have me here because I have sinned?
7. Does God have me here because he has allowed the Enemy to tempt me
8. Does God have me here for his own glory?
9. Is there a personal character trait I need to develop more?
10. Is there a character trait I need to get rid of?

If you need anymore help on this question, just let us know at info@onechurchhome.org.
