by oneadmin    |   Sunday, February 01, 2009 at 11:03:00 PM
This week, we are practicing the spiritual discipline of Silence & Solitude and we will continue to practice this discipline through Friday, February 6th.

If you have never practiced a spiritual discipline or you just have questions about what "silence & solitude" means and why we're doing it, we have provided a link below for more information.

What's most important is committing to a time and a place where you can quiet your mind and set aside distractions. We encourage you to join us in practicing this discipline and we look forward to you having intimate and uninterrupted time with our heavenly Father.

Sermon Question: What do you do when you are doing what you are supposed to do but those who aren't are reaping rewards?

by adminguy    |   Sunday, February 01, 2009 at 7:05:00 PM

We are never really doing all that we are supposed to do. There is always something that we can work on. There could be many reasons why those who are not doing what they are supposed to do are reaping the rewards while you are not. This is not a simple answer. Our suggestion is that instead of looking at the fact that others are not doing what they are supposed to do, just focus on what you need to do. Please don't take offense because it is not intended in an insulting or demeaning way. At this point there is not a whole lot you can do but just wait upon God. Also, it may be helpful to remember what was said in the sermon in that just because you see good things happening to someone, do not assume that they are necessarily good. Everything that glitters ain't gold.
